As usual, I have compiled a collection of music that I enjoyed throughout the past year. The 30 tracks cover various genres and are sourced from 28 different albums. In some cases the album was a disappointment but did include one or two gems.
If I was forced to pick a single favourite album from 2011, regardless of genre, I would have to go with Matt Chamberlain, Viktor Krauss and Dan Phelps - Modular. Structure, musicianship, modesty and sheer ART are al on display through the album, not least on opener ‘Everest’ and closer ‘Ocean Shelf’, both of which are included.
